Routing · Failover · SSL · Monitoring
Send TCP/UDP traffic at Layer 4, or route HTTP/HTTPS requests using paths, headers and cookies at Layer 7.
RoutingThe load balancer keeps checking your backend servers. If one stops responding, it pulls that server out of rotation so your users don’t notice the problem.
FailoverFrom the Application tier upwards, the load balancer can handle SSL/TLS work. This takes the encryption load off your backend servers.
SSLWhen your app needs a user to stay on the same server, the load balancer can keep sending that user’s requests to the same backend.
SessionsAdd or remove servers as traffic changes. No need to touch DNS or stop existing traffic.
ScaleEvery tier comes with basic DDoS protection. Higher tiers offer stronger mitigation options. See our DDoS Protection.
SecurityOn Network tier and above, you can spread traffic across different regions for better uptime and lower latency for users.
RegionsOur network team watches the load balancer around the clock because every request to your application passes through it.
SupportDuring big sales, the load balancer spreads the rush across multiple servers so the checkout page stays fast.
Use Layer 7 rules to send different API calls (by path or version) to the right set of servers as traffic grows.
Run several servers behind the load balancer. If one fails, the others keep the site running.
Keep users connected to the same backend server so their session data stays intact.
Route traffic to the correct client app by domain or path using Layer 7 rules — all on one load balancer.
When one machine is no longer enough, just add more servers behind the load balancer instead of buying a much bigger single server. Adding it to an existing deployment? See Server Migration.
Pick L4 or L7 based on what your application actually needs. You don’t pay for features you won’t use.
Clear published prices from Basic to Network, with custom pricing available for Dedicated setups.
Your load balancer works smoothly with VyomCloud servers, and our NOC team is available 24/7 for monitoring.
Test the load balancer with your real traffic. If it’s not the right fit, you get your money back within 7 days.
We keep the tiers simple. Basic gives you straightforward TCP/UDP distribution. Application and higher tiers add full HTTP-aware routing. You only pay for the level of control you need.
Health checks and automatic failover mean one server going offline doesn’t take your whole application with it.
When SSL termination is enabled, the load balancer does the encryption work so your backend servers can focus on serving the application.
New servers can join the pool while traffic is still flowing. No DNS changes, no interruption for users already connected.
Basic DDoS protection sits at the load balancer, the single public entry point for all your traffic.
Because every request passes through the load balancer, we keep dedicated NOC monitoring on it around the clock.

Everything you need to know before you put a load balancer in front of your application.
Load balancing simply means spreading incoming traffic across several servers. This way no single server gets overloaded, and if one server fails, the others keep the application running. The load balancer sits between your users and your backend servers and sends each request to a healthy server.
Not really for traffic distribution. The main benefit comes when you have (or plan to have) multiple servers. If you’re thinking of scaling soon, setting up a load balancer early makes the move much smoother.
Yes. You can add or remove servers from the pool while traffic continues to flow to the remaining healthy servers.
Yes. Basic DDoS protection comes with every tier. Higher tiers offer stronger protection options. Learn more about our DDoS Protection.
Please confirm this with the sales team before publishing. It affects whether the product is useful for people who host servers elsewhere.
Layer 4 looks only at the IP address and port. It’s fast and simple. Layer 7 understands HTTP/HTTPS, so it can route based on the URL path, headers or cookies. That gives you smarter control, though it uses a bit more processing power.
SSL termination is available from the Application Load Balancer tier onwards. Whether free certificates are included is something to confirm with the team, as it can make a real difference in cost and convenience.
Health checks spot the problem and the load balancer automatically stops sending traffic to that server. Requests go to the healthy ones instead. This failover works on every tier.
Yes. You can move from Basic to Application, Network or Dedicated as your needs grow.
Session persistence starts from the Application Load Balancer tier. The Basic tier uses simple round-robin distribution, which works fine for stateless apps but not for apps that need a user to stay on the same server.
